The white gold rings set with diamonds were designed by Tiffany and Co. and valued at $25,000 each.

Thieves disabled the alarm system at E.A. Dion's factory on Franklin McKay Drive, cut a hole in the roof and made off with a safe that weighed at least 1,000 pounds, Attleboro police Capt. David Proia said. The safe contained gold, gems and the rings.

"Whoever did this knew what they were doing," said Proia. The theft occurred sometime over the weekend.

The players for the Super Bowl champions had received their rings in May. These rings were intended for members of the Patriots staff, team spokesman Pat Hanlon said.

The incident was discovered by an employee on Sunday when she was unable to access her work e-mail from home, apparently because phone lines had been cut.

Company President Edward Dion Jr. refused to detail what had been stolen, but said the company is running as normal and customers know "we've run into a bit of a hiccup."

Police said they have no suspects. We know different* lol
